In the 2026 (Reiwa 8) Official Land Prices compiled by Kitakyushu City (as of January 1, 2026; 233 standard locations), the city average change was +2.1% for all uses, +1.2% for residential, +3.1% for commercial and +5.3% for industrial land. Residential and commercial gains were smaller than a year earlier (residential 1.6%, commercial 3.9%). By ward, commercial land in Yahatahigashi (八幡東) was highest at 5.3% and Wakamatsu (若松) was 0.0%.Every year the national government checks land prices as of January 1 and announces them. In 2026 in Kitakyushu, land for homes rose 1.2%, land for stores and buildings 3.1% and land for factories 5.3%. But the rises were smaller than last year (homes 1.6%, stores and buildings 3.9%).
